Here's Another Nice Mess (1972) on youtube:

I haven't seen it, yet, but can see some
Laurel and Hardy impersonations of Nixon
and Agnew, feature length, with Rich Little, etc.

More dated observations: I finally got the
10 DVD set The Essential Collection about a
year ago, and, man, why didn't you tell me
that collection is so good? Maybe you did
tell me, but why didn't you make me listen?
An important flaw with the set, however,
is the short "Laughing Gravy", which gives
the 20 minute version, pauses, and then gives
the end of the 30 minute version making a
mess. So If I want to see Laughing Gravy
the way it's meant to be I watch it on my
Nostaligia Family Video (defunct) volume 4.
I hate the shortened version!

Wow....I haven't seen that since it was new. Kinda new, I mean. I saw it at college in '73 on 16mm. It was shown as the second half of an afternoon double feature. Oh, and the first half? BLOCKHEADS!!

Guess which one got more laughs. Yeah, it was the first half. Of course, being '73, there were some factors involved that may have made it even funnier than it always is. Smoking in a college theater was common back then, so it was a pretty smokey place. Very little of it was tobacco.
