I'm posting this here only because I know many readers of this group
have an interest in early films.
I've been reading Osa Johnson's book "I Married Adventure", which tells
about the many expeditions she and Martin went on in the early 20th
century. They were fearless adventurers who traveled to many exotic
locations and documented the native and animal populations in both still
and motion pictures.
They produced a number of films which are listed on the Internet Movie
Database, from "Cannibals of the South Seas" in 1912 through "Borneo" in
1937. The book "I Married Adventure" was made into a film in 1940.
I'm wondering if anyone has seen any of their films and knows if any are
available for viewing on home video? I've had no success searching
Amazon.com or various library databases. If none have been commercially
released on video, perhaps some are being circulated privately?
Regards,
John
