On Monday, June 11 Turner Classic Movies will be showing two of the
Robert Youngson compilations...
THE GOLDEN AGE OF COMEDY (1957) @ 10:45am
WHEN COMEDY WAS KING (1959) @ 12:15pm
These are Eastern broadcasting times.
Questions: Why is Fiener Ok with these compilations being broadcast
and released on VHS and LaserDisc in the past, which contain plenty of
silent Laurel and Hardy footage that he owns the copyrights. Yet, he
prevents and sues Turner/Warners from ever broadcasting or releasing
on home video LAUREL AND HARDY'S LAUGHING 20'S?
Perhaps these sort of thing aren't suppose to make sense?
