All through this short, everytime the families get in the car after
one of the mishaps they make sure their dog is with them. When finally
the car does indeed start, Stan, Ollie the wives and Uncle Edgar all
get in the car, drive off and sink into the mud-hole. Where's the dog
during these last senes?

Obviously having the dog go with them into the mud puddle didn't work
out during shooting. Or, perhaps, their dog had better sense not to
get in the car!

I'd have to look at the film again, but I think the dog runs away when the
engine explodes, just before Stan hoses it down.
Interesting that they're able to drive off even though they never changed
the tire!

And "Uncle Edgar", forgetting this is a sound film and not a silent,
ad libs "Oh Sh*t!" when they hurry to get out of the car to avoid
being seen by the pastor walking down the street - this being a Sunday.
