(OT) Will the Bowery Boys miss the DVD format ENTIRELY...?

There is some expectation in some circles that either HD-DVD or BLU-
RAY will overtake massively popular DVD format in the next five years
or so.

This view is highly debatable. There is no indication that either Blu
ray or HD is anywhere near making even a small dent in the DVD market.
Remember... SACD and DVD-A both went away quietly, and CD is still the
dominant format after 25 years.

That said, could it be that WB will continue to drag thier feet on the
Bowery Boys films so long that they will possibly miss the DVD format
alltogether if the Blu-Ray/HD cheerleaders are correct?

And besides.. I don't understand how they can use the excuse that they
don't have good enough prints of the Bowery Boys films. All of the AMC
screenings of the films looked positively STUNNING, remember?
