Couldn't let the self promotion of the "lookalikes" go unnoticed.
There are two gentlemen that attend the Oliver Hardy festival each
year and for some reason they seem to feel they are the ultimate
impersonators of 'The Boys'. They wear derbies and clothing like our
heros but that is as far as it gets. The only time I can find gushing
compliments on these two gentlemen it would seem they are the authors.
I'm so sick of this self promotion I could scream. To add insult to
injury there are other men portraying Mr. Laurel and Mr. Hardy at the
festival and I would guess are being paid for their appearance and
they don't go out of character, they don't self promote and they do a
fine job in their portrayal. Lets get the whole story out once and
for all. Usually the person getting the least attention has to yell
the loudest. Give credit where credit is due and for heavens sake
stop all the self promotion. Anyone out there that know the names of
the 'other' impersonators would you please post their names so they
can get a little credit since they don't spend their down time blowing
their own horns.

Their names are Jamie McKenna (Oliver) and Bill Leavy (Stan) and I
agree they do an excellent job and don't expect much in return. You
are absolutely correct they do not go out of character and I am amazed
at how they accomplish this. I've already told them about your post
and I'm sure they would both be pleased at your compliment.
