I can't believe there has been so little talk about this event, that
is, the release of both ARW and NBT on DVD. Two very, very good Laurel
and Hardy flicks on one disc, for one low price!
From all accounts, the digital print transfers are stunning. I just
discovered it was out already by accident, it's only $12.99 at
Amazon... great price.

I just thought I'd make some noise about it just in case this release
has flown under everyone's radar. All previous releases, like the Fox
sets, etc., have received a lot of "lip service" here, and these films
stack up every bit as well if not better than some of those.

Well, I believe that is it, gentlemen.. there are no further L&H films
not yet on DVD (in one region or another, that is..)

I like 'em better than the Fox films. The storylines are more coherent and
no romantic subplots. Production values seem a bit better overall, too.

I have both of these films on VHS. Air Raid Wardens is the better of the two,
but both films are way below par. I would say they are worth buying only if you
can get them at a bargain price; otherwise, save your money for better L&H
films.

I will agree that "Air Raid Wardens" is the better of the two.

I will not agree that "Air Raid Wardens" is way below par. Maybe
slightly below par. It's no "Saps at Sea", but it's a very good film.
The kind of film that gives you a peaceful, calming feeling somehow.

How much is the DVD? $14.99? That's what? $7.50 a film? If you don't
think these films are worth $7 a pop, then I'm going to have to
strongly disagree with you.
