Discussion:
WHO THE HELL IS CARLETON FINN?
(too old to reply)

Using my usenet browser, I arranged the messages by author and found that
"Carleton Finn" only posted ONE message to this newsgroup: the one about Jim
Neibaur's "death". (This news has since been refuted by Jim Neibaur.)

I don't know if it was an innocent mistake (confusing Jim Neibaur with another
individual with a similar name) or a vicious hoax, but being as "Carleton Finn"
has never contributed any other messages to this newsgroup, tentative evidence
points toward vicious hoax, rather than innocent mistake.

Carlton Finn has never posted anywhere before, according to Google, and he
made sure he posted from Teranews, which blocks the poster's host address.

Nice work there SCOOP, I had that figured out two minutes after
reading the post. What the hell are you posting here for, you should
be working for a detective agency, or something.

You been watching those old Sherlock Holmes flicks from the 40's
again?

I mean... sheesh..

Doing a little more "in depth" detective work, the thing that jumps to
the forefront is the fact that since it was posted to the Laurel and
Hardy newsgroup, we all know that "FINN" was James Finlayson's
nickname.

Now... how about figuring out what significance "Carleton" has, if any
there, Scoop????
