Universal 21-DVD Set

I've noticed that the 21-DVD Laurel and Hardy box set of Hal Roach
shorts and features released in the U.K. by Universal has been
unavailable at www.amazon.co.uk for some time, although the individual
discs can still be purchased. I'd like to think that perhaps this
means an upgraded set, maybe with better prints, is in the works.
Anyone have any info about the status of the Universal set?

The information is not good. From the Laurel and Hardy Magazine(http://
www.laurelandhardy.org/newDVDaNC.html):-

"I expect by now that most of you own this Universal 21 DVD box set,
well it appears that this has been deleted as it is no longer
available on the Internet. I can now confirm from a reliable source
that their licence for the Laurel and Hardy has lapsed, so they will
not be releasing any more."
